Ford Escort RS1800

Hi all just returning after two weeks of computer melt down. Main news is the fact that the revell moulding of the Ford Escort RS1800 has finally arrived here in Northern Ireland. A little rough round the edges but man what a motor!

Good to hear, RAG are kicking things along, hopefully the new McLaren MP4/19B will follow shortly. Are you going to build the Escort anytime soon?

These things have started appearing in most of the highstreet toy/model shops such as ToyMaster and HobbyCraft. £15 is a bit steep for what is essentially a 20-year-old kit but will that stop me from picking up a couple?

No...

Any progress on the Escort, I would love to get my hands on another one and build the Vatanen version, he did those cars justice, drive them like no one else could!

Wasn't the MP4/19B project changed to a MP4/20? Due in July, I believe... I remember reading this on the RAG homepage...

Yeah I checked their homepage the other day and it now says MP4/20 with a 11/2005 release date! Picture is still of a 19B (well kinda). Who knows what they're up to.

Hi all once again back after a few days more (forgotten Password) computer trauma, all well now I hope. I am currently side tracked on the Tamiya Tech 3 YZR 500 but hope to start the Escort soon. But which scheme? The kit option (Eaton Yale in this country) is a bit dull. I know of decal sheets for the Cossack and Rothmans car but what about the Castrol works cars or one of Ari Vatanens Black Beauties.

The Cossack decal sheet was limited edition - try eBay? Renaissance are about to release a number of different schemes including Castrol and Rothmans, see www.grandprixmodels.com for details. There's also an Andrews Heat For Hire sheet but I'm not sure of availability, I think www.mrminternational.future.easyspace.com may be the place to start for this.
