'70 Cuda Design (WIP)
Hello,
This is my first time using markers, and Im working on a '70 Cuda. Im not really going for a realistic rendering, more of a conceptual rendering. Something my own style. I need some opinions on something. What should I put behind the wheel? Attempt to draw brakes? or fill it in black? ![]() I know its not to great right now, but its practice with markers. Oh...the front wheel looks huge in the pic for some reason. I guess thats what your get for playing with cam settings. I'll get daylight pics later.

Looking good so far Mike. I didn't know people did 100% rendering w/ marker.

The drawing looks godd as far as I can see...
I have 23 copic markers which were damn expensive and the copic marker pad which was damn expensive too, but I just don't know how to use them. I'm always afraid to ruin my line drawing with them. I know that all the car designers work with them, but I wouldn't recommend them. |

Wut up Mike,
That is looking pretty sweet. I say draw some disks w/ calipers. I draw in pencil first then outline w/ prisma pencils then marker. But you do what ever you like. Take care Al How is that ultimate build going? I think you have the most replies on any one thread I have seen

Looks good! Only thing I can see is that the spokes are at some very odd angles.
Here's some inspiration for ya... ![]() ![]() My first and only Prismacolor experience

Re: '70 Cuda Design (WIP)
mike. bite the bullet and do cals and rotors. make the rotors dimpled as well. you know you have to do it now, don't you?
you cannot go back. you have gone to far to not continue with cals and rotors. |

This is my first time drawing rotors, and working with color. Im pretty happy with the result so far. Its about 98% complete. Just need to do some panel lines and guache highlights.
Bonz, I did the rotors and cals, but didnt see your post in time to cross drill them. But its a start. ![]() Still some finishing up, but I really like it besides the spokes. Didnt turn out as well as I hoped, but this is the first time Im satisfied with a drawing. Thanks!

Re: '70 Cuda Design (WIP)
A little hint I learned a while ago:
Make every ellipse in the wheel/tire/brake setup exactly the same, just different sizes.
