Help Making Scoop functional

I have a New hoodscoop for my 75 duster and i have no idea how to go about making it functional. I have the obvious so far cut a hole and use some kind of screen but dont i need some way to keep water from the engine? How would I do this? I use this car everyday so i need a lasting effective solution I appreciate any help! Thanks You can email me at [email protected]

Get a scoop plug, or make one. One can be made by going to a fabric store, I.E. Joan Fabrics, getting some foam, trimming it to fit very tightly into the scoop. Then wraping it in vinyl.
