No actually it's called an LS/Vtec. I bought it used from a friend for cheap, and another friend gave me PR3 pistons for free. Those boosted my compression up to 11.5. A fuel pressure regulator later, with stock exhaust and exhaust manifold, with an Akimoto short ram intake that I got for free from my friend who sold his Vtec Del Sol, I ran a 14.01. I have a 93 Civic. It weighs 2319 pounds stock and it will be corner weighted in about two weeks, with new suspension, and wheels and tires. Finally I will have 11.9 pound wheels and Falken Azenis tires. Hopefully then I will be running 13.7. I'll keep you updated "Niswiz." And you're right it does take a motor swap for a Honda to be fast. You also need at least 1.8 liters. Most b16's are really slow. But I bought my car and fixed it up with $5,200. Sorry I'm more fortunate than you and your friends.

Re: Why Nissan?
Didn;t read it all but the reason I got hooked I 240's was LOVE RWD, LOVE AWD, HATE FWD
loved my miata till i sold it (2 seats no trunk), it was peppy car, so then I'm like I needed a real car. 240 has 4 seats technically throw my annoying friends in the back . RWD, cheap only 300 bucks. modifiable lots of engines and support for the factory one. my HB has a nice trunks. and with my Rb25 weighing 2800Lbs. and a LSD I should break the 13's and into the 12's shortly after.God now to decide A/C or not I live in NW. Florida So Think I may have to keep it damnit.

Why would he do that toa 4-door? Damn, he could at least have gotten a coupe, so on a gay scale of one to ten (10being the gaytest) he would have been a 13 instead of an 18.

My goal wasn't to build a cool looking car, it was to build a fast car. The 4-door has a slightly longer wheel base which is better around turns. Offers a little more stability and control. It was also just what I had at the time. I had a 4-door and instead of buying a new car, I fixed it up.

Re: Why Nissan?
I always thought it was wider is better for turns. I mean look at the Miata
. #1 most popular AutoX car for the buck. and it's wheel base is tiny. but it is still pretty wide. but maybe I'm just way off. someone please put me in my place.

Miata's are just really good. Super light, rwd, good chassis and weight distribution. I also think a 4-door makes for a great sleeper.

www.phatka-t.com Right.... SR20DETs are so cliche. Your turn. I don't really care who has the same car as I do. Mine is always different in some way because I modify my car to my specs. Modifying cars is an art and nobody draws the same picture. Some want performance and some want cosmetics. There are a million paths for each and none of them end up in the same place. Even if you want to rice out a civic, your car will always be a little different than the kid down the street. As for the Hondas being weak and gay and all that, I can respect anything fast for what it is. Sorry but I think a 14 second honda is pretty cool. I would stop and look at a 15 second honda. The only thing I don't have a lot of respect for is posers.
