lumina

i have a 95 lumina apv i need to know if transmisson out of a 94 lumina car with a 3.1 will fit a 95 lumina apv 3800 both trans are 4t60-e trans thanks for your help

the trans bolt patterns are different between the two if I'm not mistaken. The 3.1 is a 60 degree V-6 and the 3800 is a 90 degree V-6. Therefore, I don't believe they are interchangeable.

If both tranny's are 4t60-e then it should work. It is possible on some transmissions to swap the bellhousing for one that will fit a different engine.
If you're going to get a used tranny you can check this place www.car-part.com

There were different models of 4t60e transmissions though, each slightly different. Here's a good variation reference (and bathroom reading)
