High impact racing

Went to a racing event yesterday, like the one shown in the link.

Makes every other type of motor race seem boring.

the link shows a crash that I saw a couple of years ago but every race has something happening.

track record for these racers is just over 21 seconds on a half mile track. Thats over 85 mph average speed.

These guys regularly go into the turns 3 wide at full racing speed.

Looking in the pits later its not unusual to see where the lug nuts on the left sid have been swappin places with parts on another truck and the lugnuts on the right side draggen on the outside track wall.

ain't nothin like hearing the turbo's whine over the sound of the engines as they go down the back straight away.
