Integ Exhaust & Header

I am kind of confused on what to get for my car, I have been talking to two friends. One of my friends tells me I should just buy a muffler, Apexi Universal N1 and get a DC Sports Ceramic 4-1 Header and get custom piping. My other friend says that I should just get a catback exhaust. I dont know what to do. I need some help?

how much do you have to spend? your friend is most likely talking about buying the muffler, and then getting a custom catback, and welding the muffler onto there....this will come out cheaper than buying an apexi or greddy catback, depending on where u get it done. u could probably get the headers and the custom catback done for less than a prefab catback exhaust.

Re: Integ Exhaust & Header

The cheapest I found for the Apexi N1 Universal Muffler is 200 and the header is 230. I wanted to know about if straight pipe is better or the Catback exhaust better (Hi-flow cat and resanator)? One of my friend said that if I do straight pipe on the Integra GSR their will be no back pressure for the car but if you get a catback exhaust their will be back pressure?

well, i personally wouldnt get an apexi muffler, id find something cheaper, with a deep tone. im not sure about the whole straight pipe thing, ive never messed with it. i believe, correct me if im wrong, that a car needs a little backpressure

Re: Integ Exhaust & Header

What kind of Universal Muffler would you recommend, besides the Apexi N1 I know that Tanabe has Racing and Hyper, HKS has some as well? Also I what do you prefer the DC Sports Ceramic 4-2-1 or 4-1 one piece for both?

id ask around and see what mufflers other people have bought that sound good. my friend bought a muffler for 70 bucks and its deeper than almost any catback ive heard. id get the dc sports. remember this is all my opinion, so wait for others to reply as well.

Re: Integ Exhaust & Header

I just bought Apexi N1 Universal Turbo Muffler which has 2.5" Piping. I am going to get custom piping done on my integra 97 gsr 2dr. I am not sure if it will fit with the custom piping?
