Anyone ever heard of a Nissan Sunny?

Hi, i was looking through some websites and stumbled upon an early 90's car that i just fell in love with. Its called a nissan sunny, but ive never heard of them before and was hoping someone had some info on them. The top model ,gti-r, has something like 200hp and can run the quarter in about 15 seconds. it looks kind of like the vw golf, but i like the sunny better. heres a pic: http://www.syclone.freeserve.co.uk/web/gti_r.jpg

does this car have a different name in the US or something? please leave give me any info you might have on this car and maybe where i can get one and how much it would cost. thanks.

The Nissan Sunny is also known as a Nissan Pulsar. There are a few variations of the pulsar (sunny). It comes in a normal 4 door hatch model, sedan which have anywhere from 1.6-2 litre engines, and in the GTi-R model (2door) it comes with a 4wd drivetrain powered by a turbo engine. These are mean little cars and they're pretty cheap for the performance you get, but they're pretty hard to find. I'm surprised no one has answered to this yet.

As far as I know Sunny is a Europen model (never saw in the States). I had one for eight years that replaced now with newer Almera.

The Sunny GTi-R also has the toughest FWD/AWD SR20DET ever made. It's the best SR20DET to use if you're cramming tons of turbo-charged air into it. Lower c/r, larger injectors, stronger rods and also much harder to find.

My Dad owned a Sunny a few years ago while living in Sinapore. It was a Nissan Sentra, but had a 1.2L I4 turning something like 95hp or 100hp. (This is because Sinapore has VERY strick guildlines when it comes to cars. BTW his sunny in sinapore cost 80K USD!)
