fuel pump
i have a 1994 325ic bmw The car wont start i already checked the fuse of the pump, and it has no juice. i jumped the fuse and the pump has juice but wont start what should i do? HELP!!!

I think you would only get power to the pump on crank only, after the initial prime,all depends wheather the relay is before or after the fuse.
If the ignitions ok and you direct fed the pump I'd say the pump is faulty,try giving the area around the pump a wallop whilst cranking,sometimes this starts the pump working again. |

On my 91 316 the fuse is after the relay, if you got injection find your fuel pump, unplug power to it and turn key so engine turns, if you then get voltage to the cable then your fuel pump need 2 be replaced, can also try 2 hit a little on it and see if it starts afterwards, if no power then it's problem with fuse, relay or something else before fuel pump.

Also if you have voltage on crank at plug to pump make sure you have a good earth on the other pin,no more than 3 Ohms,any higher than pump will not run.Also just a tip,reading voltage at plug does not mean you have the correct amperage to run pump,if earth and voltage ok then use a light tester to test amperage,good light ok dim light means the cable has been restricted.Hope this helps.
