well heres how i see it, it dosnt HURT performance, and gives you better gas mileage. so its not like cutting off a smog pump or anything, its the best of both worlds, anyone telling you not to run it is stuck in the past. technology is great

oh you mean the Borg Warner rear, ok, sorry never heard it called a 9 bolt, i was thinkin 9 inch
i actually have that rear in my IROC with disk brakes

as far as running the wires for the lockup converter.... with gas prices going the way they are, id say its worth the effort. lol

yeah, im lookin at upgrading to 3.27 gears, theres a GTA down the street, but they want to sell me the whole rear, instead of the diff and gears, and i dont really need the whole damn thing. and an aluminum stud girdle. i think those rears use a 7.75in ring gear or somethin. over the stock 7.5-7.625in ring gear.

its not that big of a deal to run the wires for it. its gunna cost you some money but its not complicated. there are many different kits to do it but its simple. and like i said along time ago i would also recamend running a lockup.

Yea I just picked up a 3.27 rearend a couple months ago. I just gotta swap my brakes over and throw it in. The aluminum diff cover wont be done for another couple months though so I have to wait for that.
