Re: edesign or infinity

I think the SQ will be about the same, and the K will be able to get a little louder and possibly play deeper (that really depends on the enclosure though). I don't think that would be a very good choice for an upgrade, it's more of a lateral move instead of a vertical move. Now a Kv2 would be better than the kappa in all categories, but it won't be out for a few more months.

i'd say do it, or wait for the new version, either way it would be a good shoice to switch to ed.....

is the new version gonna be a non-flat cone woofer, i heard they were changing all lines but the O, if so do u have any pics of what the new design will look like?

Re: edesign or infinity

I'd wait for the Kv2, as much as I like ED, I don't think the K will be much better at the moment, maybe a bit louder. Different sound. Just find what you like.

Re: edesign or infinity

I'd have to agree with sr20de4evr on this one. Unless you have a specific reason for switching to that particular sub, its really only a lateral move in the subwoofer hierarchy. The first thing I would do is make sure that your box is taking full advantage of your current sub. If it is, then move up to something higher on the ladder.
