Re: Oww Oww Oww

many people on here have a lot to learn. i said i take a week off when i CHANGE my routine. you know, go to endurance training from strength...change exercises/sets/reps. geez!
working to failure is best for me, it may not be the best for everyone. i work out 1 muscle group 1 time a week. after 2 months of training, i take a week off.....read up on this, this is what bodybuilders do.
after taking a week off, i change EVERYthing about my workout (even the amount of time resting between sets). i wanted to do this for a living, but that would be a complete waste of my intellect. hope i can help.

Edit: i should have said i FOCUS on one muscle group once a week.

yes.... but body builders are in the gym almost every day.... and work out once muscle group each day.... and they dont switch of from endurance to strength after every 2 months... first they eat a lot and bench heavy weight at low reps... once they are they size they want to be, they start to cut back on the eating a little bit and start doing a lot of reps at a low weight to get better muscle tone... when they are about to compete they cut back on water and eat carbs to get rid of the "puffyness" of their skin so all their veins and muscle fibers stick out

Re: Oww Oww Oww

they do change it up though, even when not going into competition. you do seem somewhat educated in the matter, even for being what, 15 if i remember. 6 weeks before a competition, i read that bodybuilders cut back on carbs on a serious level-an unhealthy level. also, you are correct about cutting back on water.

oz, you need to stretch and drink an insane amount of water...i would also eat a healthy amount of simple carbs to replenish your glycogen levels...if you do these 3 things that i have stated, the lactic acid surrounding your muscle fibers will be 'washed away'. therefore, no more soreness-you can have a good night.

Re: Oww Oww Oww

As far as carsb go, unless you're an endurance athlete you shouldn'thave carbs of any noticeable amount after 4pm.

yes, the catabolic steroids in your system tore the heck out of your muscle fibers. you sir have overtrained. just continue pushing it as hard as you can every time...you wont be sore.
for those that dont know, here is how muscles work. that is one interesting read, but it wasnt indepth enough for me. i shall find another link if i can for a better description/explanation.

Re: Oww Oww Oww

I find overtraining weird, one week I rode good solid km's for 3 days, felt perfect, the 4th day, rode only 42km's, damn did it kill me!!!
