Ok i posted previously about my 1998 sienna overheating. Well it hasent stoped. We have replaced the thermostat and the problem still continues. We ran into another big problem-> when the engine had bin running for a litlte while, the collant becomes foamy. I believe its the head gasket but the oil on the dipstick aint foamy. Please help.

If no, that's your problem. Engine overheating due to not enough coolant and the water pump blend the air into coolant and makes it foamy. Do you need to add coolant frequently? Is there any white steam coming out from your tail pipe and smell like coolant? Take off the engine oil filler cap and look inside the cap, do you see something like white gel? If yes, you probably have a head gasket problem. You can do "blow down" test to see if the head gasket is blown. Basically add pressure from the oil filler cap and see if there is any bubble comes out from your coolant. Normally the thermostat won't cause overheating. Good luck. |

The coolant level is completely fine. I think its the head gasket.
