Thumbs up Magnesium ribbon

My friend just got a 75 foot roll of magnesium ribbon

Maybe some of you remember this from chemistry in high school, and how exactly it burns, but if you don't, look it up on google. Very, very fun stuff to play with the neighbors' cat

Re: Magnesium ribbon

You can also use it to light thermite on fire, which can burn through all sorts of stuff.... Not that I would know....

Magnesium is the best. I used to get those magnesium fire-starters for camping and I would drill holes in them and light the shavings on fire.

You could really make some fireworks with that much...

Re: Magnesium ribbon

width? I mean 75 feet is a damn lot, but if it's 75 x 5 feet or something, that's a hella lot of Magnesium.

Only an 1/8 inch thick. I decided to order a roll myself

And thermite.. that shit is CRAZY. My chem teacher did it in his backyard and filmed it for us.
