17's or 18's cant decide

My parents are gettin me wheels in a couple of days it was a christmas present that i just havent gotten yet and i cant decide wether to get these.... in 17s or 18s this is the first thing ive done to my car besides an intake . later on i plan on rebuilding the KA and turboin it. im leaning toward the 17s for that reason b/c there smaller little less harsh of a ride and will do better at the strip(less rotation of mass).Just wanted yalls opinions.

Ps the 17s will have 205/40s on them and the 18s will have 225/40

17's are as about as big as you can go without making it too "showy." 18's arent practical for turns, clearance, or racing of any kind.

Plus 18" tires are damned 'spensive.

BTW, anything under 7.5" wide is just a show wheel. You need AT LEAST that much to get any sort of performance from the wheels. Dont mean to flame, but 205 on a 17"? I have 205 on stock 15" wheels!

^IMO 9.5 is too wide for a car with such a small wheelbase. IT will have the same effect as putting on 18s. Unless you plan on drag racing.

you can get VOLKS in custom sizes....

17X9.5 is widest I would put on a 240sx, although some have put on 10's.

You can never have too wide of a tire if you are into performance driving.....
