KA24E valve train oiling
I'm wondering how the valve train is oiled. I assume it must be pressure fed from the block through the head. The reason I'm wondering is because I have developed a serious leak (both ways, I have oil in the water and water in the oil). I think the leak is between an oil pressure port and the water jacket. The first I noticed was tappet noise, then after the engine was shut off I had an overflow from the radiator overflow tank which looked mostly like oil. The crankcase was 2 quarts low (engine uses very little oil). So I assume when the engine is running it is pressuring oil into the water jacket and when shut off the water system is still pressured up and then the water goes the other way into the oil port. So where is there an oil pressure port next to the water jacket? In the head? I have the head off and can't see any ovious leak path. I haven't got it cleaned up yet so there still may be a crack somewhere but I don't know where to look since I don't have the oiling system figured out yet. Any help is appreciated
