alpha sport tureno AE86 **progress pics**

I've primed and added a mist coat of tamiya pearl white. The interior has been paint tamiya black..which is a bit glossy..but i don't mind. I've added the rear end.hte part with out the rear seat, that allows you to install a roll cage. I dropped the front about 2mm, left the rear, and added to the roll cage. The cage is now a..i guess 6 point..instead of a 4 point roll cage. I used the extra tree parts from the kit, the steering wheels have not been chosen yet. And i think i'll add the stock racing seats instead of an s2000 seat.

Mods i'm gonna add are an apex n1 style exhaust, pop up head lights(kit standard)

Go with "half-way" headlights! And show us some pics of the body with the chassis on! Looking great!

roll cage wasn't that hard....teh hard part was glueing them together. I just put a dab of tamiya cement on the edges then waited till teh platic melted. Once it melted the tip, i t wa pretty sticky and went on pretty good. You just have to hold it in place till it dry's then add some more to reinforce to joints. how do i make half-way headlights?? do i have to mod it..or is that an option from the kit?

thanks

You don't have to hold it. I clamp most of mine with these little vise grips.

It was a suggestion that the light assembly is glued "half-way" up instead of 100% retracted.
Here is a picture of a 180SX with the lights a little up, it's something like this except 50% up.

If you don't get it, I'm sure someone else can get a better explaination and pictures.

BTW, what color are you going to paint this one?
