Seriously though, why don't you just do a 5mt swap..

there is a guy around here trying to sell me his 93 or 94 240 complete but with a bad engine for like $250. you could then sell the remnants of the car to S13_Iketani he will not need the engine/trans anyway because he wants his SR swap... and not having the trans there may give him the excuse to go for the 6mt.

You could buy that, and do the swap, by the time you buy a few quarts of redline trans/diff fluid, and any other misc hardware etc you would need for the swap you would likely still be under $400... unless you were smart and spent some extra cash for a light weight flywheel and ACT clutch from SRmotorsports...

and way less hassle than selling yours, and buying a car you have no clue how its been treated....

If you had time you could drive to my shop, have the donor 240 towed to the shop, and do the swap there... and drive home... or I would buy the car on your behalf, remove what you would need for the swap, and either you can pick it up, or i can ship it in a crate..

Then i would be left with a 240 shell
Too bad i have that spare RX-7 Turbo II drivetrain in the shed....

arent the 93/94 tranny's different than the sohc? i could have sworn someone said they were...

for $250 i'd take it in a heartbeat........... then i'd do the flywheel/shortshifter/clutch all at the same time...

hmm.... if it will fit i'll take it! i really dont think it will though
