my 91 olds98 3800 starts hard and spits and spudders only when it's cold outside. then suddenly it is running fine but i may kill the battery to get it to start. in the summer i have no trouble out of it at all.i have changed the fuel filter and i have junked a battery.please help!!!!

Check the engine coolant temp ECT with a scanner & see what info the PCM is getting. BTW, the sensor feedback is used to richen fuel on cold start the same as a choke on a carburetor.
