Question Seems when i'm sriving im in neutral, RPM shoots up but car goes nowere.

My Dodge neon 95 Moves but isn't reading the gears or something ill put it in reverse but it wont go nowere then in drive it'll be fine till i start driving, on the road it moves then shifts itself into neutral or something it hits 7 RPM vacuum sound radiator stops and car rolls tht it gas dosent work. Any suggestions?

It May Be The ENGAGE Swith On The Shifter...

To me it sounds like you are definately having a transmission problem. I am only familiar with manual transmissions, but this problem definately seems to match exactly to what is known as clutch slip. If you are driving a manual transmission all that this means is that your only choice is to replace the clutch. This may be the case with automatic transmissions as well but I am not very familiar with those.

or possibly even a torque converter
