Does anyone know where the keypad code is located inside the 2008 Ford Taurus?

Re: 2008 Ford Taurus Key Pad Code
That info should be in the owner's manual I thought, or surely the dealer can help you if you bought it from one. I'd think they would even if you didn't by it from them. Come to think of it, it should be on a ownership card or like that came with the car from the dealer and is in the owner's manual case or similar type holder. Did you try doing a search in the Taurus forum? Try not to be too specific, but don't look up just "code" as you'll get a million hits for fault codes.

I purchased a used 2008 Ford Taurus and don't have the owners card which has the key pad code on it. I have heard that the code is hidden in the vehicle some place. Does anyone know where it is located on an 2008 Ford Taurus?

Re: 2008 Ford Taurus Key Pad Code
Since you posted essentially the same question on this forum with two new threads, I've merged the threads into one.
Did you buy the car from a dealer? If so, they should be able to provide you with the code. Even if you didn't buy if from a dealer, if you swing by the local Ford dealer where they aren't extremely busy they may provide you with the code at no charge. If you have access to either a dealer scan tool or a professional scan tool you can pull the code from the keyless entry module over the OBD-II port. Otherwise, there should be a sticker affixed to the outside of the keyless entry module with the 5-digit code. As tripletdaddy suggested, you should try using the keyword search for keywords such as "keyless" or "keypad." I don't recall anyone posting specifics for the 2008 model year, but it's probably in a location similar to other Taurii. -Rod |
