hydraulic lifters-3.1 L 97 Lumina
I've disassembled my 3.1 down to the block and I need to know how to test the lifters for proper function. Please Help!

It is very difficult to bench test lifters, if some are collapsed/ noisey as you say then just replace them all, this assumes good oil pressure/oil condition and the engine is not sludged up or contaminated with coolent.
