Older Alloy Wheels

I own two older vehicles, a '95 Buick and '94 Toyota, both have alloy wheels that came with them. Of course the inside of all 8 wheels have been coated with brake dust which is hard to remove. I figure I can clean them up and make them shine, but would that be worth the effort?
