Anyone built the Heller 1/24 scale rally cars?
I just ordered the MITSUBISHI LANCER Ev. VII WRC 1/24 SCALE and the CITROEN XSARA T4 WRC 2001 1/24 SCALE. Has anyone built these or heard anything about them?

the evo might be quite acceptable but i dont think you can expect smtn good from the Citroen. I bought myself a peugeot 206 wrc of heller and it sucks ass! Transforming it into another thing

I haven't heard anything good about any of the Airfix/Heller kits, there have been several threads here on the Citroen so you may want to do a search for them?

Heller/Revell are generally nasty kits. Very budget. The only one worth getting (which you have) is the Xsara and that's because it's the only one in 1/24th scale that's affordable. I've done a test build of the 206 and I have to say that I'm glad I didn't pay for it. Expect a lot of work, and you'll find yourself wanting to use a lot of aftermarket bits or bits from Tamiya kits.

I have the Xsara and the quality isn't all that great. I wish I had bought detail kits for it when I got it though, too late now. The best I can do now is get rid of the decals I have on it, not too many, and get a sheet of after-market decals. But since it is the only affordable 1/24 version of this car....:hehe:
Oh yeah, to those who do have this kit as well, any advice on getting the wheels to look right? They stick out a bit.
