cause if it is, the haynes manual said, "it is impossible to replace only the joint, u have to replace the whole arm"

The ball joint is pressed in I think...I had Majestic Honda send me just the ball joint for about $35 - but u have to remove the lower arm and take it somewhere to beat the old one out and press the new one in. Once I realized the ball joint wasn't really the issue, I never had to do this, but I think you just need a place with a hydraulic press..

I have the lower ball joint I'll ship for free (pay just the cost of the part)if someone can use it. I'll lose more shipping it back and paying a re-stocking fee

Have Fun! lol
upper ball joints, i shoped around and u cant get them without buying the whole control arm. i just did this last week. u get the control arm with the ball joint in it. its like pressed in there permanently i think. anyways.
undo ur control arm from the strut tower. undo the 2 small bolts on your steering arm (think thats it) that ur control arm connects to. take off that little cover, take the cotter pin out, undo that bolt for the ball joint. hit ball joint with hammer to get it out, curse a few times cuz it wont come out right away, hit some more till it does then pull it down from ur strut tower, pry or cut off the piece going around it on the back, take out, reverse instructions for assembly, torque it, put wheel on, do other side then go cruise! hope this helps!
also. the control arm assembly cost me 157.89 Canadian.... per side

easy fix...
pop rivet sheet metel over your holes then fiberglass over it to make it stronger, just like clean up under there first like the old rust and cut the whole back to good metal then primer it so it wont rust.
