What a great halloween this was! (Can't get any better!)

Well after getting lost on halloween in rockville centre for 3 hours trying to get to my friends since he gave me the wrong fucking address!!! I finally made it home back to my house. I was in the seven with my friend who just ran in to dunkin donuts to get a quick treat per say. He comes out and gives me one of these half ass reeses cup things and I ate it fine. I'm driving back to my house and pull over because I notice I'm short of breath (very weird since I work and run constantly!). I regain myself and drop him off as I'm heading home I can feel my throat starting to close up and the road started to get blurry so I literally raced home barely making it, parking my car half ass on the side of the driveway. My airway is really starting to get tight so I ran in and took some benedrill. At this point I can barley breathe breath so my mom checks my throat and tells me almost all of my air path is blocked by the swelling of the roof of my mouth. I waited 10 fucking LONG minutes to wait for my slow dad get ready to drive me over, even though he drove good. I get into the E.R. and it's now 11pm, I ate what ever it was 9:30 and took the benedrill at 10. I waited in the E.R room not long because you could definetly see my face was red and I was really fighting to breathe + I grabbed a nice new silicone hose I bought for my car and was prepared to use it as a breathing pipe since it was flexible enough to go down but stiff enough to hold my throat open god for bid (My uncles and EMT so this was a little trick to staying alive). I get called in she's asking me all these questions, I'm thinking to myself WTF I can barley answer them! If you haven't noticed I'm trying to keep myself alive and breathing not trying to answer what the fuck I had to eat yesterday! I know what the fuck is wrong, it was some sort of nut in this fake ass reeces I ate. At this point all these questions are just pissing me off thus making me more tense and closing my airway up tighter. I finally said calmly as best as I could, enough. I told her listen ~ here's what I am allegeric to as of now, here's the med's I'm taking. This is obviously and allergic reaction so can I either get treatment or am I going to have stab myself with the Epi pen I have in pocket, Thanks! At that point she knew I was serious so they rushed me in and hooked an Iv up and gave me some steriods and a direct injection of something to counter the allergic reaction. When the doc came in and looked (His eye's went big) he said if I hadn't come in right away and taken the benedrill when I did I might not be here... All because of a stupid reeces! I got out of the E.r. at 4:30am after being on an Iv and hearing a 9 year old screaming for 6 hours with the same thing I had but far less serious. All I can think about is if I was stubborn about it and decided to sleep it off my airway would have snap shut like a mouse-trap when I was passed out sleeping and then I would have not been so fortunate.

Going back to sleep now ~ So friggin tired of all these meds!

BTW ~ HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

A. I didn't know my friend bought them and gave me a peice thank god not a whole cookie.

B. I didn't know I was allergic to nuts man, I've never had a problem up till now EVER! The only thing I'm highly allergic anestsia and coconut. My doc said you can just develop allergies literally overnight so I'm guessing thats what happened.

Werd.

I never used to be allergic to certain fruits

But just recently, I ate a plum. My lip started stinging and itching and swelled up. My throat had the same reaction and it felt like I had cotton throat (as opposed to cotton mouth).

Never had such an issue.

Wow, what a story. I feel for you man.

I saw an eye opening special on food allergies on discovery health. Now when I go to the supermarket I always notice the labels on all the products that list the major allergens.
