Neon at the street races...

Ok before we get to the details, I'd like to say that street racing is bad, gay, and very costly. This video footage was me and a buddy one night in philly having fun. These days I am no longer engaging in street racing. So enjoy the video and please do not bash how gay Neon's are because you are wasting bandwith and time to make the post.

Yes I have realized Neon's are not fast and blah blah blah.

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3O-5...776AC4&index=0

Video details: My car was a 1997 Dodge Neon DOHC. No it did not have a turbo. No it did not have nitrous. All it had was simple bolt ons. About $1k worth of a header, intake, exhaust, extrude honed intake manifold, ecu, and an udp. Best time of 14.3 @ 93 mph. I do have slips of the run and photos of the engine bay for proof.

First race: Me on the left. V6 Camaro on the right. Camera car is an 04 11 second mustang on nitrous.

Second race: This is the actual philly footage. Me vs a mustang 5.0. In the middle of second gear I noticed he wasn't going all out so I stopped mid 2nd gear.

Third race: Me vs a Civic SI. I ate it up. Got an extensive amount of wheel hop on that run too.

Fourth race: Me vs another Civic SI and once again wheelhop and I still won.

Fifth race: Here's the scoop. Bolt on RSX Type S. Ran 13.6 @ 10X. Very quick car indeed. Now a flagger goes in between the cars like normal. His hands went up in the air. And he dropped them. The RSX though had begun to do it's prestage burnout. Man was I pissed. Would've been a great run.

Sixth race(after the girl scene): Me vs Integra GSR. I beat this car but it was the closest of the night.

Then I find this random Neon to whoop up on a little on my way to find some food.

Thanks for viewing.

Re: Neon at the street races...

lol. those neons can be made pretty quick. intake, header, catback, and a wet 75 shot gave my friend mid 13s at the track. saddly, nitrous killed the car, and the motor.

Agreed. My ex co-worker had a 2000 neon with a couple bolt-ons and it pulled. Have no idea what times he was running tho. Kept it until he saved up for an srt-4, but unsure of the mods as we dont really talk anymore.

Let me guess, you guys dont talk because of the fact that he still drives a Neon?

Just kidding man, but back to the OP. For some reason I can't view the video, but I've read your entire post and it sounds like you've built a pretty fast little Neon indeed...

That just made me go in a very uncalled for way...

EDIT: I agree with silentscreams, this should be a sticker... Sh*t, I'd sport it...
