R35 Nissan GTR

Little bit more information:

Nissan GT-R beat the Porsche 996 GT2, Porsche 977 Turbo and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The 7:35 time of the Nissan GT-R is one second slower than the Koenigsegg CCR and two seconds slower than the Pagani Zonda F.

Nissan GT-R lapped Nurburgring in 7:35 - beats SLR McLaren
Curb Weight: 3792 pounds

Comes with a 6 speed DSG style gearbox, similiar to the VW Golf and a few other cars.

Re: R35 Nissan GTR

to fricken heavy...3792. i dont care if it has around 480hp(which are there any specs?) it's still like buying an audi good power but too much weight.

i think 3400 would b better

Re: R35 Nissan GTR

The EVO version is expected to loose a few pounds and have more power.

Re: R35 Nissan GTR

i heard a few months ago that nissan wanted to build a few different levels of the gtr. but i thought only the base gtr would end up making it to the USA(where i'm located). my hope is to be able to rent one for my sis wedding weeked next april. i think they'll b here by then.

the levels were something like base with 473hp(real stats now) then one with the same power and lighter weight(my guess the evo) then a racer version. around 520-550hp and probably just rwd...so maybe like 31-3300lbs. but as with most race cars...there has to a b few made for the street.

Re: R35 Nissan GTR

The Nismo version, scheduled to be released this year, will have body panels primarily made out of carbon. The price is supposed to be crazy though, so probably the only people who'll buy it will use it for racing. I saw a prototype of it in a magazine here in Japan a couple of months ago.

The GT-R won the Super GT 500 race here last month 1,2. Might have be 1,2,3 if not for one of the cars being rear-ended And on top of the result, the new GT-R engine was considered too high-tech for them to properly develop it in time so they were actually using the old 350Z engines from last season! When they get the proper engines in them that car will be just unstoppable, pretty much like the original GT-R I guess. ...must be the reason Toyota is hurridly releasing a V8 Lexus sports coupe here in Japan

Re: R35 Nissan GTR

I don't want this package if the car comes like this. LOL. JK. It looks really nice and polished.
