Qusetion about lower my car!

I just install the 18 inch wheels and tires on my 98 honda accord coupe V6 EX . and i think it still little bit higter than i expected. I am planing to lower my car in oder to look better. If once i had lower my car, Would it affect the aligtment or cambet of the my car? I am very appreciate if anybody could give me an answer!! And also how many inch should i lower my car?

if you lower your car either professionally or have someone do it you will still need it to be realigned so either way you look at it. your gonna have to realign it
but i dont recommend doing it yourself especially since you have custom tires they are more expensive to replace if you do lower on your own so my advice professionally have it done

You should look at suspensions that are available, and they will tell you how much it will lower it. If you want to be able to adjust the height you will need coilovers.

you will need a camber kit you can buy it from aspeed shop or make your own using metal washers just remember it will need aligned when done or you will be buying tires in about 5000 miles and maybe a set of ball joints as well!

yes you can have it lowered as long as the shop you took it to does lowering kits etc lowering springs and so forth but make sure you have it done right no cutting springs and modifying just buy a set of lowering springs from eibach or whoever you want and make sure you get a warranty and try not to hit curbs and such as you will need realignment.. other than that anything can be lowered or raised

1. not true, i run a -3* camber all the way around on my car and as long as i keep up with regular tire rotaions, there is no uneven tire wear (and it corners better) When you get it aligned, just tell them to set the toe at 0* and bring the camber back as much as possible. Toe is what eats tire.. MUCH more than camber ever will.... its just that most people dont realize when you affect a camber angle, you usually affact the toe.

So how much would i spend on lower my car?. i saw some of lowering spring are really cheap in ebay?..Shall i buy those in ebay or just go to find some prefessional to do that?

If youre going to buy on Ebay, make sure its from a good brand such as Eibach, H&R etc. Do not buy generic 'no name' parts. You need to do ALOT of research before you trash your car. An example of what I have for my 96 Civic:

H&R sport springs 1.75 front lower and 1.5 rear - $180
KYB AGX adjustable dampers - $400
Omni power front/ rear camber kit - $250
4 wheel alignment - $50 (got a deal)

This plus a swaybar gives me all the handling I need on the street. Remember that with 18" wheels on your car the ride will be a little rough. Lower ride heigh means you need higher spring rates to keep from bottoming out. Read this: http://www.tirerack.com/about/techcenter.jsp

yes, but you will still need an alignment
