Scale Model World Show Report - Part 2 - lots of pics.

Hi guys,

I returned only yesterday night from the Show, the biggest IPMS show in Europe. Apart from the cool model pics that Chris - Flyonthewall - posted here are some atmosphere pics and the stuff that I purchased. The last time I saw Chris, I was on some free ale on the IPMS Norway stand :finger: . I had a good time during the whole weekend and was very pleased to meet Chris.

My purchases:
Kits:

A Porsche for my 10 year old daughter

Decals:

Accessories:

Overall view of the show. Pictures is Hall B, Hall A was as nearly as big

I'd like to see some more of that 300SL some time. I have some of those Modelers AN fittings from another show, they are really good but not had the chance to use them yet.

Err... a Mercedes 300 SL in 1/24th... :finger:

Will ask a friend to pass by during the weekend, so I can take pics of the parts. I can also show my Finished Sonax C-Class then.

So do you need to buy two more C class merc's for those decal sets you brought?

Yep, I sure do... That will take the tally to 5, which is going to make a cool collection. Since currently I'm on the C-Classes I will buy them pretty soon, to finish the collection in one single run. Although the pictures suggest a modified front wing - which were used in the '95 series - I found some pics on the net yesterday from early on in the season with the '94-type front wing. So I believe the pics included in the set were taken in the second half. I'll make both as early season versions, since I don't have the conversion/modifications skills that you have

Thanks man! I was realy excited in finding the 450 SLC, and on first view it looks like a cool kit, including engine etc. You'll have to wait though till my, now 5!, C-Classes are finished, and that may take a couple of extra months. so be patient.

I know, I never understood why Tamiya did both 205T15 and 405T16 and not the ZX. It won enough events I think to make an interesting subject. I build the Heller kit already once for the local Citroen dealer, but now I will do it again for the Citroen collection

Not only that, but from now on, we know who's on the other side of the line. The Avatar got a real face now and that's also a way to make friends.
