Guage Cluster Problem

I have a couple of weeks to fix my daughters 98 ZX2. Her guages have experienced a malfunction. Her speedomoter and gas guage work fine but her odometer, tripometer, and her engine temp guage all failed at the same time.

Is there a trouble shooting process I can use or is the cluster toast?

Can someone post up links that may point me in the right direction? I know it has to be common practice for many who paint interior components but is there a write up on tearing down a dash to get at the cluster?

Thanks
Doug

Re: Guage Cluster Problem

Well, I started digging in last night. I didn't have time to swap out clusters but I wanted to see how everything attached. It seems streight forward. The dash either pops out or has a few fasteners and the cluster looks like it'll pull right out the front after a few fasteners are removed.

I found a few dash clusters on eBay for a reasonable price so I should have this wraped up when I have all the parts.
