I have a 2004 X-Type and my Key Fob just all the sudden stopped working and it's the only one I have. I replaced the battery and it still did not work. I was told I have to program it back to the car. Anyone know how to do this?

Re: Programming Key Fob?
Programming a jaguar x-type key fob
As to programming the remote, follow these directions: To program a key fob insert the key and turn to position I. turn the key to position II and back to I (repeat four times) and you should hear a confirmation tone. Turn the key all the way back and remove. Now press any button on the key fobs to be added and you should hear a confirmation tone. This has been tested and works on my vehicle. |
