Thinking about parting out my GA
1993 grand am, 2.3 SOHC
I am not sure I want to put this thing back together. I am ready to take the loss and get what I can out of it. If enough people are interested, I will part it out.
I have a new rebuilt head that I just bought that I haven't installed yet. The starter is five months old. Interior and body in good condition. Seats not torn or worn too bad. Body has no rust or dents. Maroon with gray interior.
Transmission shifts good. AC blows cold. The engine was running great before it jumped time and bent a valve(thats why I bought the new head). We drove it for five months and never used a drop of oil. I have the engine tore down now.
Everything on this car is in pretty good condition. I just have too much invested in it now and don't want to put more in it(It would take a gasket set, timing chain, head bolts, and who knows what else I may run into as I go. Probably $300. More to get it running). This was my daughters car, we have bought her a new one.
The only thing I know of that might be bad is the timing chain. I think it is old and stretched out and that is what caused it to jump time.
If you are interested in anything from this car(or the whole car as is) let me know.
Thanks
