1994 Honda Passport - Clueless
I Have A 94 Honda Passport With Many Problems!! For Starters, Neither My Driver Side Or Passenger Windows Roll Up Or Down. My Abs And Check Engine Lights Are On Constantly After Starting Up My Car. Today, My Check Transmission Light Was Blinking But Then Quit After I Shut It Off And Restarted My Car. It Also Sucks On Power....it Feels Like Its "put Putting" All The Time And Not To Mention That It Sounds Terrible. What Do I Do?

Re: 1994 Honda Passport - Clueless
First go to autozone and have the check engine codes read (they will do it free) then post what the code numbers are here. Will give us somewhere to start looking.
Also have them test your battery and alternator. A failing alternator does funky things on these trucks.

Re: 1994 Honda Passport - Clueless
How old's your alternator? If it is failing could cause ALL the symptoms you mentioned.

Re: 1994 Honda Passport - Clueless
kurie:::...
the big box auto parts stores that will read diagnostic codes for free won't do it for the older OBD I systems, which you have. (OBDII started in 1996 models). but it is easy for you to do yourself (((if you have the time after pushing that Shift Key all the time ))).here's a link to a post of mine, ( scroll down from the top,) that shows the connector and tells how to read the codes. it's simple. The only problem may be locating the connector on your Passport – it’s probably in a different place than on my 1992 trooper. i suggest you make sure you have the correct connector before doing any jumping of terminals! Otherwise, all the other info is the same. . . http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showfl...&Number=915770 and here's a link for a good site that tells you what the codes mean http://autorepair.about.com/cs/gener..._dtcs_main.htm while the alternator going on the fritz will often start lighting up the dash idiot lights all over the place, it usually doesn't set either the CEL or the Check Trans Light -- but it could, and might in your case. check the codes, then let's go from there.
