Bleeding coolant system

Hi

1999 3.3l GC. Haynes says to bleed the coolant system after replacing the fluid using the bleed screw. This engine does not have a bleed screw in the location shown in the photo in the manual.

OK, for the next best option I thought that I would just remove the temp sensor but cannot figure out how to remove it. I just can't get a wrench in there.

So how do you do it?

Re: Bleeding coolant system

What works for me is to park it on an incline, take the rad cap off, then let it run for 5 -10 minutes from the point the temp gauge reads normal with the front and rear heaters on . I've got the 3.8 but, I've read the 3.8 is just a bored out 3.3.

If you really have to my Haynes manual (96-98) shows a vent plug on the block just below the valve cover on the left side near the T-stat housing on 3.3and 3.8 ltr engines.
