99 Intrig. A/C & display itermittent operation

Hi, My daughter has a 99 Intirgue and the A/C and the display are doing the following:

1. The A/C unit and display usually doesn't come on until you've driven the car for several miles and minutes.
2. Sometimes the display is on and the A/C is working, but none of the controls work (temp, mode, circulation buttons, etc.)

Is this a bad electirical contact?, or a macro fuse?, any ideas?

Sounds like the HVAC control unit is shot. Just had mine replaced. It's expensive to do.

check the owner's manual but I believe the A/C (and heat) won't come on right away. So the delay could be just a normal operation of the vehicle. As far as the second problem, I have to agree with salhany
