95 Cutlass Supreme air vent controller
the air vent is stuck on defrost and floor. It won't change to anyother setting. The knob turns, but the vent box won't change to the new setting. The fuse checked out good. I have no experience with air vent controllers. Can anyone help?

ive got a similar problem with my cutlass, doesnt change, i ended up just going under the dash, and moving it myself, i think the problem is something with the vacuum lines, check for a vacuum at the line coming into the controller, if theres a vacuum the controller could be bad. my problem isnt fixed either, so im not sure of exactly what it could be

well in my cutlass the glove compartment slides out, to reveal the fuse panel on the left there are these white plastic arms, with metal arms on them that go into these black boxes where the vacuum controls them, and the on on the very top, without the spring on it, i just unclip the plastic arm from the metal arm, and move it either up or down, and by doing that you can change air flow from window and feet, to the front vents

There is a vacuum connector that breaks a lot that is next to the battery. If the battery is loose, it will crush it.
