home made turbo how-to?
does anyone know of a how to on homeade turbo kits on a honda civic? I know there's gotta be someone who know's all the angles and stuff, and what kinda pipe and connectors etc. that way all we'd have to buy is the actual turbo......even one off of a wrecked car......and snag the IC too. Anyways.......maybe if i stare at the aftermarket kits for long enough i'd be able to figure out how to make one.:licker: I think the kit's are way overpriced.....just pipes and connectors
Anyways if someone knows anything on a how to or whatever hook us up with a link..peace

If you're asking these questions, you might want to take it to a professional, no offence. Installing a turbo is VERY involved and complicated. It will also require a bit of tuning to get it running like you want it.

turbo
that tripod page didn't work. I'm also interested on a turbo install. I have an idea of what has to be done, but there are a few missing points. YES a professional would be nice but also expensive. downpipes and piping along with the manifold and turbo are easy. Oil lines are a little fuzzy, where are the best places to tap into the oil line, fitings etc. and oxygen sensor information would be nice. If anything I could figure the exact parts I need and wont get ripped by a professional. I have been looking into turbos and manifolds and I'm still deciding what turbo to run.
If anyone has tutorials post them. thanks |

homemadeturbo.com is very vague in reference to the parts they use... there are many instances where they will say the use a "custom" bracket.....or something....but do not tell how they make the bracket.....and there are only installation instructions that are for specific applications....it is a VERY informative site...but i've been over all of it...and still have questions and concerns....are there any other similar sites out there that might pick up where homemadeturbo.com left off.....
