rev limiter

Does anyone know how to take off/recalibrate the rev limiter on a 2005 Grand Prix GP ? or can it only be done at a tuning shop?

Re: rev limiter

you'll need a recalibrated PCM to do that. If you have warranty left, don't do it until your warranty expires or you'll void it.

Are you referring to the rev limiter or speed limiter? Rev limiter limits rpms to around 4000 when in idle/park/neutral. Speed limiter is what limits your top speed.

All you is need is a re-programmed PCM module from companies like DHP or Intense. They are available for the '04 and up GPs.
