Radio lock codes

Im looking for a way to find a radio lock out number for my grandpas 2000 malibu. I think its pretty crappy they expect that he should pay their service department for this. I could care less for the reasoning behind the anti theft crap, its a bad idea. can anyone help?

What if you have stolen the radio and have come here to try to find out how to unlock it? That's the reason you go to the dealer.

Dealers don't care if it's stolen or not. They'll still uncode it.

Call GM's 800 line and explain to them what you need.

Re: Radio lock codes

Thanks Ponch, but have done that already earlier today. I appreciate your help. Was just in a hurry the other day, cant get out to his house often & was a little miffed at G.M's reasoning for it all & the fact that they would charge my grandpa any amount to figure it out. He is 93 & well, lets just say he is 93 & couldnt take care of it himself. Thanks again.
