Question Which tints are better? And more questions!

Hey guys i just bought myself a 99 bright red firebird! The first thing that i did was i got a 40 series muffler and dual chrome exhaust tips. I was wondering which tints would go with my car. And ya. im looking at only black tints! For example, really darker ones or mediums? Also, here in illinois, its illegal to have front tint windows . So, my question is that dont u have to get rid of the tints after you get a ticket for them , which would be extremely sad . I heard from other people that they take a lot of pictures of their car before tints and show them in the court after they get a ticket. In addition, should i get the t-tops tinted as well? How will they look if any of you guys have tinted yours?Any help would be appreciated. [ ].

Re: Which tints are better? And more questions!

My Trans Am has 5% tint on the back window and 20% tint on the front windows.

Sounds like IL is touchy about the tint though.
T-tops...get the covers.

Re: Which tints are better? And more questions!

l put 5% on my new toyota, l couldnt drive it, l was like blind and other day l had to take it off.. and now l have 20% on my toyota..

l believe l have 20% on the pass and driver side windows and 35% at the rear window

l suggest u 20% they are cool. dark enough and safe driving..

Grand Am is 5% all around.
I love it. A little rough at night, but you get used to it.

Re: Which tints are better? And more questions!

Thnx a lot to everyone. I guess i will just go with 20% with the fron windows and 5% fot the rear. For the t-tops covers will do it.

Re: Which tints are better? And more questions!

i get a ticket for illegal tints about once a year...i just pay the ticket and leave the tints on. Ive gotten better at putting my windows down when i see a cop so they don't see the tints tho!
