Security!?!?!?!

Okay, my security light constantly (almost every night I work) comes on and my car won't start. Well, I was reluctant enough to find a post about it, so I leave the car off but in the run position for ten minutes and then off for 15 seconds, walla, it works! Till the next day that is, so then I read later in the same post to do it three times in a row and it should reset the computer. Well that worked for about a week. I thought maybe I did something wrong so I tried to do again, then again, and again! Still it seems to come back on and keep me waiting for ten minutes before I want to go somewhere! Please Help me!!!

By the way it is a '01 SE 2.4L

GAs do seem to be good about this, maybe thats why they discontinued the GA.

Make sure your key is clean so the contacts in the ignition lock cylinder can read it.
Also if you hav a bunch of stuff that hangs from the keys try removing that stuff and see if it goes away for good.

Another note, they do hav a recall (i think) on the lockcylinders on some newr model GA's.

If you haven't already tried your spare set of keys thry them, maybe the key is worn.
