Angry Hood Struts

I bought aftermarket replacement struts for my hood. Now I noticed that the ball joint that attaches the strut to the hood and car are permanently attached to the factory strut. Is there any replacement ball joint pieces available for the aftermarket struts? any ideas? i spoke to nissan and they said that it only comes as 1 piece and that no part is available. Please help!!!!!

did u get the new struts because of the color or them or somethin? if thats y u bought new ones i would jus get the ones that are supposed to go on the maxima and jus paint them or somethin. if ya get horrible desperate i would jus get one of thoes rod things that holds the hood up on a lot of cars and install one of thoes somehow. onelast thing i can think of, but pron wont work, if the cylnders are both the same size ya could try and jus switch the metal rods out. it might work?
