Yes another cd changer question.

Ok my wifes 05 has cd changer controlls on the factory head unit but when I peel the carpet back on the dr side of the trunk there is just an empty spot on the amp? where I think the cd changer would plug in.Now do I need to go buy one from the dealer or just go junk yard hopping for one?Oh yeah the cd changer if a factory clarion out of an 02 Super ACrew f 150 if that makes a difference.

Also look around the area under the carpet near the antenna, It seem most taurus cars with the CD in the head unit were pre wired at the factory. The wires in mine were rolled up and taped out of the way. I only had to remove some electrical tape. It was a piece of cake to plug in, and it works perfectlt.

Re: Yes another cd changer question.

I ordered a changer from a company called Cdchangersonline.com for my 96 Sable. Required some adaptation to mount (can't get stock mounting box out easily), but came with own brackets and plug adapters. Drilling new mounting screw holes was the only challenge(mounted to bottom of package tray for easier access). Works like a charm. Very pleased with the company site and it's policies and practices. Chk it out!

Re: Yes another cd changer question.

Ok I looked for a plug tucked away and I didnt find one. From what I can see there are 3 plugs on the amp.If that is what it is.The 2 plugs on the left have stuff plugged into them and the one on the right dosent.I am assuming that the one on the right is the plug for the cd changer. Is this right?
