Does anyone know if the Allen fitting on the pulley is a pressed fitting or if it can be manually looosed with a wrench when replacing the power steering pump?

thats an old truck haha,yea i think it is pressed on, are you using a new pump,or a used one

Well I was going to use a new one depending on how involved switching it over gets.

you can get a used one as long as it is for the same motor and close to the same year, you can get a new one with the the pulley on it, cause it is a bitch to get the pulley off, hope i helped

its not that hard to switch them over just the hoses and the mounting hardware its pud

what u need is a special tool that u can get from a parts store that reants them out.it is a power steering pulley remover and installer all in one.they are simple to use and helps out alot.i have seen people try anything to get them off and destroy them.better to rent a tool then to have to find a new pulley once it is destroyed
