box question

im in the middle of making a new box, its for my 2 10" kicker comp subs, and the box is going to be sealed, ive decided that, but should i have each sub in its own sealed box, have them both in an open box??

This is something that's been tossed around for a little while now. Ideally, you want each sub to have it's own air space, but if your box is built to spec for two subs they shouldn't really be fighting each other for the air space so it's up to you I guess. I personally would give each it's own chamber.

Yeah I agree, just put a divider in the box to seperate them, and make sure you seal that as well.

It's nice to give each box it's own air chamber just incase a sub fails. If a sub fails without a divider that sub will automatically have 2x the volume of air to work off.

what if theres a divider in there, but its not compltely sealed between the two cahmbers, say only 95% sealed, will this make a huge difference??

if it isnt sealed 100%, there's no point to the divider.

why wouldn't you completely seal it anyhow, it's not like it hard. Just run a bead of liquid nails along the edges inside the box. Takes like 10 minutes max.
