Rough idle--surging
I have a current problem with my 88 z24. It has a rough idle and sometimes you can feel it surge while maintain a steady speed.
I have seen many others have this problem but havent seen anyone posting with a found cure. Thanks,,,,, |

Re: Rough idle--surging
well a few people have had the same problems but different cures...the one guy had a dry rotted MAP sensor hose...another with a bad IAC valve..mine on the other hand isn't that simple i did all those replacements and nothing happened so i got the craps of it and took it to a shop they told me i was running too lean like i figured cuz my plugs were on the grey side and i had to reprogram my computer to make it run richer...i dunno that's what they told me now it runs good so i guess check the easy things like the plugs, fuel filter, injectors, hoses, and any vaccum leaks if all turns out ok and no one else has anything try to talk to a mechanic
