What does a bad ecu look like?
I've looked all over to find a pic of what a bad ecu looks like. Mine has some reddish colored stuff on the underside of the board. It is not under any of the three replaceable capacitor things though. If these are fine does it probably mean that it is fine? Does anyone have some pics of a bad one? Thanks guys.

Well if it's smoked it's pretty easy to tell by the smell. Or it will have burn/smoke marks on it..maybe. Other than that there's really no physical way to tell if an ECU is bad, unless you plug it in and everything goes haywire.

So it could look fine but still be bad? I'm having a problem with injectors 1 & 2.

Definately, mine was fried extra crispy. Looked just fine smelled like open ass (burnt electronics make me gag).
