Rear hatch

I have a question about the rear hatch. Does the rear hatch open all the way in the up position when the button is press with new shocks? My doesn't and was wondering if new shocks would make it go all the way up without me pushing it up. Thanks

I'd love to help you , but mine is a cabriolet , but i have many friends with hard top versions so i'll check it....
