Porsche 911 Turbo (993) kits
Hi there,
Does anyone know if there are any more kits of a Porsche 911 Turbo (type 993) available? I know of the Italeri and the Revell, which are supposedly the same. Does anyone have information about these kits? Are they any good? I saw this topic of someone with an Italeri 993: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=271052. It looks awesome. The 993 Turbo is one of my favorite cars of all time, so I'd really like to build it! Thanks in advance.

Yeah I know of that one too, but that's a GT2. I'm just looking for the 'regular' 911 993 Turbo. Thanks anyway

Pocher makes a non-turbo 993. Dont know of any others in 1/24th besides the Italeri. You might consider rebuilding a diecast one.

As far as 993 is concerned, Italeri (and its rebox) is the only option. It's not really a bad kit, but you'll want a new wheels & tires, because the kit parts look like 15 inch and 55 profile. Fujimi's 18" Ruf or BBS wheel would look good, and are popular on real cars. You may want to use Tamiya's 996 wheels, but that's probably more suitable for the Carrera than Turbo.

Yeah I read that too, the wheels look small indeed.
But I'm looking to do it as accurately as possible, so maybe the ones from the Tamiya 996 kit are the best option here (kunta's 993 4S looks good on those). Now I just need to find me a set of those, as I'm not planning on buying the whole Tamiya 996 kit. Anyone willing to sell and send me a set?
